
Sir Joe became Patron of Calpe House GA in January 2018. Sir Joe has a degree in Economics from the London University as well as a degree in Italian from the University of Birmingham. Sir Joe was first elected to the Gibraltar Parliament in 1972 and has been re-elected to the Parliament in every election since. Sir Joe as Chief Minister committed to donate pound for pound the money raised by The Calpe House GA (London) Appeal Fund Raising Committee in 1989. Sir Joe was Knighted in the Queens New Years Honours list in 2018.

Albert was a member of the original fundraising committee set up in 1988, in 1991 he became a founding Trustee and Vice-Chairman, in 2017 Albert became Chairman after the passing of his friend Charles Tilbury. Albert has always been Calpe House GA’s representative in London and effectively the CEO on a pro bono basis. Albert has a commercial background but relinquished his directorships on his appointment as The United Kingdom Representative and Director of Gibraltar House for HM Government of Gibraltar in 1988, he held this position until his semi-retirement June 2016 . Albert was made an MBE in the Queens Honours List of 1995 and was raised to an OBE in 2006, Albert is a Freeman of the City of London, the Gibraltar Parliament bestowed on him the Gibraltar Medallion of Honour in 2014 for Representation of Gibraltar in the UK and other UK Overseas Territories and he received the high award of Grassroot Diplomat Award in 2016.

Lord Hoyle became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in 2005. Lord Hoyle is a Labour Life peer who has sat under this title in the Lords since May 1997. Prior to joining the Lords, he sat in the Commons as an MP, and was first elected as MP for Warrington in 1974. Lord Hoyle is a loyal friend of Gibraltar, having first met Sir Joe Bossano prior to Sir Joe becoming Chief Minister, Lord Hoyle continues to be a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Gibraltar. In 2004 Lord Hoyle was given the Freedom of the City of Gibraltar. His son The Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle is the current Speaker in Parliament.

George became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in 2008. George is the Gibmaroc Group’s Managing Director, having assumed the title from his father. George is highly energetic and active and is heading the next phase of the expansion of the Group. George has been involved in various working groups working with HMGOG and UK Government representatives. George is a business studies graduate and has been a director of the Gibraltar Chamber of Commerce since 1999 with responsibility for the wholesale and retail trade sector.

James became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in April 2016. James was educated at the Christian Brothers Preparatory School, Gibraltar Grammar School, University of Nottingham and Inns of Court School of Law. Member of Lincoln's Inn. 1972 to 1979, James was called to the Bar in 1979 and joined Louis Triay QC in private practice. He was appointed Notary Public in 1985 and Queen's Counsel in 1999. James was Chairman of Gibraltar Bar Council for two terms, Chairman of Gibraltar Government Scholarships Awards Committee, and member of the Specified Appointments Board and member of the Financial Services Commission. James is currently a member of the Judicial Service Commission. James was also Chairman of Gibraltar Shiprepair Limited Provident Fund and a trustee of Gavinos Trust, a statutory charitable trust. James is a Freeman of the City of Glasgow.

Eddie became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in April 2016. Eddie was Commissioner of Police from 2012 to 2018 having been awarded the Queens Police Medal and the Commonwealth Police Medal. Eddie is Director of Football for Europa FC and a keen sportsman. Eddie is a Self-Employed Consultant for Business and Security Services. Eddie was educated at the Gibraltar Grammar School and gained a Post graduate Diploma Level 5 in Management. Eddie has attended various police management and leadership courses.

Ian became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in March 2017. Ian was in the military for 32 years, a career Submariner, reaching the rank of Commodore, he spent most of the second half of his career in staff jobs in Whitehall, which included being Military Assistant to the Minister of State for the Armed Forces, and a further two year secondment to the Cabinet Office in the Office of Cyber Security. Ian’s last military appointment was that of Commander British Forces in Gibraltar. Since his early retirement from the Navy in 2016, Ian has assumed the role as a Consultant for Hassans International Law Firm in Gibraltar. Ian is a Director of Gibraltar’s arm of the American Chamber of Commerce. Ian attended the Royal College of Defence Studies, where he attained an MA (with Distinction and was published) in ‘International Security and Strategy’ from King’s College London, and he is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

Deborah became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in March 2017 and oversees all of the events management aspects on behalf of the board. Deborah is a company Director of Codere.com. With a vast knowledge of fundraising Deborah has assisted many local charities helping them to achieve their goals. Deborah set up and runs the Gibraltar local communities charity group via Facebook, helping those in need within Gibraltar and sharing all community fundraising efforts.

Jose Julio became a Trustee of Calpe House GA in October 2018 and is the Financial Director for the charity. Jose Julio is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. He qualified in 1991 and has more than 25 years’ experience in accounting, audit and tax. He has a BA (Hons) in Financial Services from the University of Manchester and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Financial Services (Chartered Institute of Bankers). Jose Julio was Managing Partner of EY Gibraltar from September 2013 to June 2018 and Senior Partner from July 2018 to June 2019 when he retired. He has served as President of the Gibraltar Society of Accountants. Jose Julio was the inaugural Chairman of the Board of Governors of the University of Gibraltar (from Sept 2015 to Sept 2018). In August 2019 the Gibraltar Parliament granted him the Gibraltar Medallion of Distinction for Public Service. Jose Julio currently holds positions as a Non-Executive Director, including Audit Committee Chairman of a local banking institution, and is actively involved as a volunteer for Accounting for International Development, an international NGO.

James became a trustee of Calpe House GA in January 2022. A graduate from both the University of Surrey and University College London, James is a qualified lawyer at Hassans International Law Firm in Gibraltar, and specialises in cross-border international corporate and commercial law. Prior to joining the legal profession in Gibraltar in 2015, James worked in the United States of America at the New York City Council as a legislative and policy analyst for Letitia James, the current Attorney General of New York. In June 2020 James, together with a group of friends, launched and completed the ‘Calendar Club in aid of Calpe House’ initiative, which saw each of them run 465kms over the course of 30 days and which raised approximately GBP 46,000 for Calpe House, and ultimately for the benefit of the people of Gibraltar.
